Arrest made over East Ren break-ins
A 16-year-old male has been arrested in connection with five house break-ins in East Renfrewshire.
Police were called to Edenhall Grove, Newton Mearns, at 2am this morning following reports from residents of a suspicious figure.
Inspector Alan Dickson told The Extra: “Officers spent time on foot patrolling and found and charged a 16-year-old linked to an attempted break in last night.
“Subsequent inquiries this morning have led to charges of a further four housebreakings and he is expected to appear in court on Monday.”
