Art of the Commonwealth

Art and design work created by New College Lanarkshire Kirkintilloch Campus students will go on display to commemorate the Commonwealth Games coming to Glasgow this summer.

An exhibition will be held next month to showcase the works of the Creative Futures Project, an initiative which offered students the chance to work closely with industry professionals during a series of workshops.

Launched in October 2013 by world-renowned Scottish public artist Andy Scott, the project was separate from the college curriculum and has taken place over the last eight months. Workshops have included graphic design, jewellery design, public art sculpture, murals, fashion design and advertising.

The Creative Futures Exhibition will be held at Mugdock Park from June 2-6, from 10am-4.30pm.
