The Citizens Theatre has teamed up with aboriginal Canadian company Debajehmujig for On Common Ground — a participatory project to coincide with the sporting event.

To mark the one year to go milestone, children taking part in the theatre’s summer academies watched a filmed greeting from the company across the pond, and created video responses about living in next year’s Commonwealth host city.

The Debajehmujig team arrives in Glasgow next summer, and will work with around 150 southsiders to create a performance over eight nights — including a procession through the Gorbals to a specially-constructed outdoor arena.
