Audrey Yule is 2010 Lanimer Sashing Lady

SOLICITOR Audrey Yule has been chosen as the 2010 Lanimer Sashing Lady.

The 56-year-old will sash 2010 Lord Cornet Geoff Smith at Lanark Cross on Monday, June 7.

Despite being a member of the Lanimer Committee for more than a decade, the news came as a shock to Audrey when Lanimer Committee chairman David Strachan visited her to break the news.

She said: "I was certainly surprised as I was in my pyjamas at the time!

"I was gobsmacked but I'm really pleased to be chosen."

Audrey has been a member of the Lanimer Committee for over 10 years and has served as judges convener since 2003 as well as in other roles.
