Bairns give cash by the bucketload

More than 18,000 Falkirk football fans descended on the southside on Saturday for the Scottish Cup Final.

Along the way, almost 500 fans of The Bairns dropped in on The Shed nightclub in Shawlands for a pre-match party, organised by The Extra’s sister paper, The Falkirk Herald.

In total, The Shed and Herald raised £785 for Strathcarron Hospice in Denny.

Falkirk Herald sports editor, and  deputy sports editor for Johnston Press weeklies David Oliver handed over buckets of cash to Angela Gillies of Strathcarron.
