BAM staff tackling Strathcarron tiara walk

The ladies all work for the construction firm and are signed up for the midnight walk which is one of the highlights of Strathcarron’s fundraising calendar.

Participants walk either five or ten miles on a route encircling Stirling Castle, starting out at the stroke of midnight on Saturday, June 14.

Team member Mairi Garvie said: “This is the first time most of us have done this walk, but we saw advertising for it and knew we wanted to get involved.

“Strathcarron is a cause close to all our hearts as we have first hand experience of the hospice and the care it provides.”

“We’ve been training hard for the walk as we are aiming for the ten mile version.

“Some of us have started walking to work and we’re also spending our lunch breaks going on walks. It’s still likely to be pretty tough though.”

The entry fee f or the walk is £20 and the minimum ponsorship is £30.
