They are delighted to welcome the award winning BBC Scotland radio broadcaster and journalist Colin MacKay who will give a fascinating illustrated talk about HMS Hood, the Clyde-built warship which, 75 years ago sank in three minutes west of Iceland in a struggle with the Bismarck.

The ensuing Atlantic chase by the Home Fleet to avenge the Hood is one of the most gripping naval episodes in our history.

In its day the Hood enjoyed celebrity status. The meeting is open to everyone, admission on the night is £4 and membership is also open to all. Tea and coffee are served before the meeting starts.
