Bee-autiful attraction at New Lanark hive

BEES aren’t the most exciting thing that you would expect to find at a wildlife reserve but visistors to Falls of Clyde Wildlife Reserve have been buzzing about them!

The hive was introduced two months ago by experienced beekeeper Brian Pool and was initially home to 30,000 bees.

In the space of just eight short weeks, though, the colony has expanded to 100,000 – the largest colony of its kind Brian has seen that hasn’t swarmed.
