The charity event, formerly known as Dressed To Kilt, was raising funds for the Wounded Warrior project and this year’s theme was The Scottish Lion Meets The Asian Dragon.

The event, hosted during New York’s Tartan Week, featured a host of models, TV stars and fashion designers – and former Scottish First Minister Lord McConnell.

This year, Calzeat fabric featured heavily and was even more prominent than in the previous 10 years.

Sales director Bob Galbraith said: “We worked exclusively with a Chinese designer based in Shanghai called Chloe Chen. My father hand-delivered six metres of fabric to their studio in Shanghai during his annual Calzeat brand-building trip.

“The same tartan was given to the bridal-wear designer Gwen Russell and each created contrasting designs which were modelled on the runway by Miss Scotland Nicole Treacy and Miss Asia NY Jeannette Joshue). We also had Miss Canada Sarah Ainsley Harrison who modelled for Kansas designer Meredith Lockhart who created stunning designs with our fabric.”
