Biggar Little Festival Big Day Out 2014 Slideshow

Biggar certainly lived up to its name, proving it was better than ever, with yet another superb Biggar Day Out offering fun for all the family.

The now traditional middle Sunday of Biggar Little Festival brought everyone in the town together.

The High Street was packed with street entertainment for visitors to enjoy, while the festival food fair in both the Municipal and St Mary’s Halls had plenty of goodies for people to get their teeth into.

After tantalising their tastebuds, the public could pop outside to see a number of bands and sensational street acts.

The family fun run at Biggar Showfield was a huge success while the Corn Exchange was the venue for an open mic afternoon which featured some superb singers.

Henna hand painting was available and incredibly popular at the Taj Mahal restaurant, while Biggar Gas Works hosted a steam day.

Several organisations threw their doors open to the public with everyone from Biggar Puppet Theatre to the town’s Masonic Lodge taking part.

In the evening, the Eastfield and Harthill Flute Orchestra entertained at St Mary’s Hall and folkies headed to the Corn Exchange for an evening with Andy and Flora Munro.
