Blackwood and Kirkmuirhill Gala Day 2011
BLACKWOOD and Kirkmuirhill Gala Queen Carly Barr-Taylor loved glamming up for Saturday’s big day, devoting two hours at home to getting her dress, hair and make-up just right before joining the colourful procession.
Carly (12) then embarked upon a chauffeur-driven limousine ride through the village before being crowned at Lochanbank Park in front of cheering spectators by 2010 Gala Queen Amy Watson.
P7 Blackwood Primary School pupil Carly, of Howe Drive, said: “It was a really fun day and I had a really good time.”
