Boss of Lanark’s Ladyacre Road filling station defends his business
AFTER being caught in a police under-age drinks sales sting, a Lanark boss personally defended his business and staff in front of Clydesdale Licensing Board.
Instead of following the usual course of hiring a solicitor to address the drinks trade regulators, Daniel Ross Ltd chief Bryce Smith came face-to-face with the board to state: “I stand up for my staff. I haven’t sent someone else to speak for them.”
The hearing on Thursday concerned an incident at the Spar licensed grocers Ross’s run in their Ladyacre Road filling station on April 27.
