Braehead woman Emma Morgan is heading to America

BRAEHEAD’S Emma Morgan will this summer set off on an exciting adventure to work as a counselor in America, teaching horse riding basics and horse care to groups of youngsters aged six to 16.

For Emma (22) was one of the lucky few candidates chosen from thousands of applicants to be placed at Kennolyn Camps in California, following recent interviews at Camp America’s recruitment fair at Our Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh.

She said: “I knew the doors opened at 2pm that day but a friend who’d gone through an interview before advised me to get there really early so I started queuing outside at 11.30am.

“I stood outside in the freezing cold for a couple of hours before finally getting inside the building.

“It was another half hour before I began my interview with a camp director.”
