Braveheart Rock Show staged at Vogue Bingo Club in Lanark

NOT since its gala opening night as the Regal Cinema back in the 1930’s has the now Vogue Bingo Club in Lanark’s Bannatyne Street had its frontage decorated as it was on the night the grand old building found a new role as a music venue.

The big occasion was the holding of Braveheart; The Rock Show, a charity concert.

It was organised by the locally-based Wallace’s Weans charity for deprived children throughout Scotland.

Although not exactly packed, there was a respectable crowd of around 150 attending to see acts like Celtic rockers Bags of Rock and former Simple Minds member Mike Ogletree perform.
