Bravery award for Carluke PC Steven Bryson

A CARLUKE police officer who risked his life in a burning block of flats has received the force’s highest award for bravery.

Steven Bryson, who is only 21, received the Chief Constable’s Commendation for his actions. His sergeant, Robert Park, also received the award.

The pair evacuated a block of flats in Motherwell which was ablaze and risked their own lives in the process.
