Bursary boost for Queen’s Park charity

THE Glasgow Play-Resource Association can play on, thanks to a funding boost from the Ross and Liddell Community Bursary.

The Queen’s Park charity, which runs workshops for school-age children using recyclable materials, is one of 34 groups to receive £250.

Now in its 30th year, the group supports 300 voluntary organisations from special needs groups to Brownies, Guides, Cubs and Scouts.

Sarah Paterson, of the Glasgow Play-Resource Association, said: “Our objective is to support the development of children through play activities. The support from Ross and Liddell has been invaluable and has enabled us to fund a number of workshops in communities across Glasgow - on behalf of everyone within the group, we would like to pay a big thanks for its support and allowing us to deliver valuable education activities for school children.”
