A section of Calfmuir Road, in Kirkintilloch, was closed earlier this month to allow work to be carried out on a new roundabout.

It will reopen on Sunday, August 26.

David Devine, head of roads and neighbourhood services at East Dunbartonshire Council, said: “A new roundabout is being constructed at the junction of Calfmuir Road and the recently constructed Spine Road through the Woodilee housing development within Kirkintilloch.”

Access will be available to properties and land adjacent to the closed section of the road.

All other traffic will be diverted via other routes.

Meanwhile, resurfacing work will take place on Langmuir Road, Kirkintilloch, until this Friday, May 18.

The road will be closed from 9.30am-4.30pm for vital repairs.

Motorists will be asked to follow an alternative route via Merkland Drive, Waterside Road and Kirkintilloch Road.
