Butcher bonanza for Pink Friday

Muirhead butcher S Collins and Son pulled out all the stops to raise money for Breast Cancer Care with a fun-filled Pink Friday for shoppers – and collected more than £1,000.

Present to draw winning raffle tickets was legendary goalie Alan Rough, and top prize went to Muirhead lady Mrs Tierney, who recieves a special butcher’s box worth £100.

Owner Stewart Collins, delighted with the £1,010 raised from the day. said: “We just want to thank everyone once again for the wonderful generosity they’ve shown over the past few weeks.

“We all know someone that has been affected by breast cancer, and we’ve raised enough to make a difference - and we are all already looking forward to next year.”
