Campaign to recruit foster parents steps up for a fortnight

The foster appeal is running throughout Scotland

With approximately 40 children and young people coming into care each year in East Dunbartonshire, the council needs to attract more foster carers to come forward and open up their homes and help make a difference to a child’s life.

As part of the recruitment drive the council’s ‘People like you Foster Care’ campaign is running throughout the year.

Children and young people need foster carers when their parents cannot look after them for a range of reasons. Children with disabilities also need respite care which provides valued support to families.

For the vast majority of children a foster home can provide the stability and support needed to secure a better future.
