In a bid to show its support for Macmillan Cancer Support, McCarthy and Stone developments across Scotland are taking part in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning, with its development in Bishopbriggs - Campsie Grove - putting on a spread of coffee, tea and a selection of cakes on Wednesday, October 5, from 11am.

Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Mornings aim to raise vital funds to help Macmillan be there for people facing cancer. There are now 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer and by 2030 this will have risen to 4 million people.

Guests and homeowners can expect to enjoy an array of tea-time treats and themed games such as a bake off competition to mark the cancer charity’s nationwide fundraiser morning. Guests will also get to fully experience life at Campsie Grove, with the opportunity to mingle with current homeowners and get a taste for the lifestyle on offer.

Rosemary Giovino, Sales and Marketing Director for McCarthy and Stone in Scotland, comments: “At all of our McCarthy and Stone developments, including Campsie Grove, we host coffee mornings on a weekly basis, so it only made sense to get involved with Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, open our doors to the public and raise as many funds for the charity as possible!”

She continues: “It takes just one person to make a donation at one of our coffee mornings sand this could pay for a Macmillan nurse for an hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support. It’s a cause McCarthy and Stone feel very strongly about, and we’re proud to be hosting a total of eight coffee mornings across our Scottish developments .”
