Carluke businesswoman Margaret Thompson pleads with council to install footpath on town’s Mauldslie Road

A CONCERNED Carluke businesswoman is pleading with the council to install a footpath on a busy Carluke road before someone is seriously injured.

Margaret Thompson is fearful of the number of pedestrians having to use Mauldslie Road to either get to work at Gasworks Road or the popular Whiteshaw Woods walking trail.

This week council workers are renovating part of the road and she hoped they would also install a path.
