Carluke High pupils hear Holocaust survivor

Pupils at Carluke High School heard the harrowing experiences of Holocaust survivor Rosa Sacharan who visited them this week.

Rosa, who was born in 1925 in Berlin, spoke to the pupils at length about her ordeal and how both her brother and father were two of the six million Jews who were brutally slaughtered by the evil Nazi regime.

Many pupils held back tears as Rosa told her story of her harrowing childhood living through the rise of the Nazis in Germany.
