Carluke High teacher Agnes Forrest, whose class organised the event, said: “It was a very good show, with a mix of fashion ranges from a variety of stores.

“The girls and lady teachers were wearing dresses and casual gear, while the males modelled a wide variety of casuals and the occasional kilt.

“I was delighted that the event managed to raise so much money for the school, from ticket sales, raffle sales and bingo.”

Stores which provided clothes for the Carluke High show included M & Co, Plaisir, Rodeo Drive, Linda’s Bridesmaids, Matalan and Republic.

The event also saw children from five local primary schools model headwear they’d made which they thought would be suitable for a royal wedding.
