Carluke Primrose Orchestral fails in bid to win 16th successive Scottish Championship

Carluke Primrose Orchestral failed in their bid for a 16th successive Scottish title on Saturday.

The Scottish Amateur Flute Band Association held their 83rd annual Scottish Championship in Carluke Lifestyles Centre on Saturday.

Although the ensemble turned in a high class performance the adjudicator awarded them only second place behind Dykehead Amateurs in the graded test piece, Italian Symphony by Mendelssohn and third place for their hymn tune, A Spotless Rose.
