Carluke Rotary Club Young Photographer winners

TALENTED young photographer Finn Henderson has bagged himself a unique treble in this year's Carluke Rotary Club Young Photographer of the Year competition.

Finn (10), who attends Lamington Primary, won the overall competition and the under 12s category for his picture, Cruel Winter, as well as gaining a third place in the under 12s for a picture called New Lanark Millenium Experience.

Second place in the under 12s went to last year's overall winner six-year-old Lucy West with her picture entitled The Wool Pack.

Young Finn will now collect a total of 75 for his two pictures but more importantly the Rotary Club shield.

Finn's mum Hazel said: "He finished second in his category last year but to win the whole thing was a huge achievement for him."

In the 12 to 19 years section it was St Aidans High pupil Lauren Wilson who collected both the first and second place.

Lauren (14), who lives in Carluke, grabbed the top two prizes in the older category with Catfish and Dawn Chorus.
