Twenty-year-old Jasmine Chiswell has already released one film, entitled The Stranger, and is hoping for further success with latest film It’s Not Real.

Jasmine, who is currently studying at the City of Glasgow College, started her career in front of the camera but she soon decided she preferred life behind it.

She believes her experiences as an actor will stand her in good stead as she continues in her career.

She said: “I have been in various BBC productions in the past, such as River City and Waterloo Road.

“But I was fascinated by directing and would always quiz people about it.

“After I finished school I took a year and tried acting but it also gave me the opportunity to make a film and I knew that this was my chance.

“I knew then that directing was what I wanted to do and I have been really dedicated to directing ever since.”

A huge horror movie fan, Jasmine shot The Stranger locally using various locations around her home town.

She is hoping to do the same with her latest film.
