Carnwath captain Alan Jamieson wins navy award
YOU’D hardly find any place in Scotland more totally landlocked than Carnwath and Biggar ... but that’s the home ports for veteran seaman Captain Alan Jamieson.
Although a single phone call could see him heading off to sail the world’s oceans, when on dry land 60-year-old Alan usually docks at his home in Carnwath or at the family newsagent business his son Fraser now runs in Biggar.
