Carnwath graves fears ease

AFTER almost a decade of waiting, the fear that Carnwath might entirely run out of space to bury its dead has finally been lifted.

As reported in the past, worries have grown since the turn of the century that the public cemetery serving the village and the hamlets around it was fast running out of space.

But now South Lanarkshire Council has agreed to an extension.
