Cars set on fire

TWO cars were set on fire while they were parked on the same Cumbernauld street last week.

A black Volkswagen Golf and a BMW Z4 were both set alight whilst parked on Tinto Drive.

Police say the owner of the Volkswagen Golf heard banging outside, look out a window and saw that the car was on fire.

The incident happened between 5pm on Thursday, October 4 and 1am the next day. Firefighters at Cumbernauld Fire Station attended the incident and put out the fires.
