Carstairs dispensary’s fate is sealed
DESPITE a long and hard-fought battle for survival, it seems the fate of the popular GP dispensary in Carstairs Village has finally been sealed.
The Gazette has been told that a last-minute proposal to save at least part of the long-running service has been rejected by NHS Lanarkshire and the dispensary will finally close it doors – after several decades of service to the area – at the end of this month.
