Carstairs Primary Fairtrade day raises fair amount for charity
IT was Fairtrade all the way for Carstairs Primary pupils as they held their eco enterprise event.The pupils organised the event and had a PowerPoint presentation about the work of Fairtrade and their own stall selling Fairtrade goods.
A total of £400 was raised with £100 being donated to the Friends of Kenya charity.
School team leader Sheila Cleland said: “All the pupils had work both on display and for sale including Easter arts and crafts and beautiful hand made jewellery.
