Cartland Windfarm protest at Lanark Marches

Those fighting the plan to erect two giant wind turbines in the countryside between Cartland and Kilncadzow publicised their campaign by staging a modest, peaceful protest during Monday’s Perambulation of the Marches in Lanark.

The residents of both villages feel that theirs is not just a local issue given that the turbines will be the first erected in the Clydesdale countryside that will be visible from both our area’s main towns, namely Lanark and Carluke. Monday’s protesters wore specially designed campaign tee-shirts and erected posters on the Marches route.
