Cash boost for cancer charity

The cash for MacMillan Cancer Support was the proceeds of a year of fundraising by the local lodge, including an annual dinner dance, Burns Supper, Hallowe’en ball and karaoke nights.

He said: “It was a very easy decision for me to make as to which charity to raise funds for.

“I don’t know of any family that has not been affected by Cancer, more so than my own.

“My sincere thanks to everyone involved throughout my year. I had a target number in my head I was hoping we would raise, but I am happy to say we knocked it out the park.”
