Celebrations in the sunshine

Hundreds turned out in glorious sunshine on Saturday to celebrate another successful Bungo in the Back Lanes.

In its fourteenth year, BitBL has grown in popularity and is now a much-anticipated summer event on the calendar.

Familes enjoyed food and drink and there was even fun for the kids with a dedicated area and pace painting.

The event has grown recently: back in 2012 the organisers extended their insurance to cover the back lanes from Vennard to Marywood and those on Moray Place and Pollokshaws Road.

That’s a long way from its humble beginnings in Queen’s Park.
