Change to waste recycling centre opening times

Waste Recycling Centre opening times are being changed throughout North Lanarkshire from this Saturday (October 22).

All sites are open seven days a week and the sites affected are at Airdrie, Bellshill, Coatbridge, Cumbernauld (Wardpark), Cumbernauld (Westfield) and Netherton. The opening times are now Monday – Saturday, from 7am–6pm, and on Sunday from 7am–5.30pm.

Shotts Waste Recycling Centre will be open Monday–Saturday, from 8am–6pm, and on a Sunday from 8am–5.30pm.

Councillor Michael McPake, convener of Environmental Services said: “Our sites will continue to be open every day for household waste recycling, These centres are a valuable resource that help us recycle as much material as possible.

“The new operating hours standardise the shift pattern of waste solutions staff.”
