The money will go to help a number of Lanarkshire Cancer Charities.

The charity fundraiser was organised by the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem Knights Hospitaller — a world-wide charity which raises millions of pounds to support community and hospice charities.

The local charities who will benefit this year are St. Andrew’s Hospice, Marie Curie Lanarkshire Nurses and Kilbryde Hospice.

Founder of the lunch concept 11 years ago, May Storrie, said: “I am delighted once again the big hearted people of Lanarkshire came to support us to help these worthy charities. Over the past 18 months, the charity has donated £30,000 to St. Andrew’s Hospice.”

May was helped by Natasha Raskin Vera Weisfeld, Alan McCulloch, Lynda McCulloch and Emma Oates.
