Charity ladies win best dressed award at major craft event

A crafty charity has won a festive award for its creative efforts at a huge Christmas fair.

Members of Creative Care, based in Brackenbrae House in Bishopbriggs, were exhibiting at the ‘Crafts for Christmas Show’ at Glasgow’s SECC when their stall caught the eyes of some design experts doing the rounds.

A combination of sparkling waistcoats and large robins crafted in 3D by the decoupage experts were enough to win the charity the prize for ‘Best Dressed Stand’.

Crafters from the group were promoting paper crafting activities available to the community each day at Brackenbrae and, in particular, the popular Victorian Christmas taking place later this month.

After some Christmas crafting Mr and Mrs Claus meet with children in their specially constructed winter wonderland grotto. Families travel from all over to begin their Christmas celebrations in this very special way.
