Chop saw stolen from Cumbernauld home

POLICE in Cumbernauld are appealing for information following two break-ins in the town.

A chop saw was stolen from a garage attached to a home on Locksley Crescent sometime between 5pm on Thursday, September 20, and 7.50am the following day.

Thieves forced opened the door to gain access to the garage.

Meanwhile, various items were stolen from a home in Scott Drive between 10.30am on Thursday, September 20, and 7am the following day.

Thieves gained access to the home through an insecure kitchen door taking a haul of items including a two figure sum of cash, two mobile phones and some personal cards.

Community Safety Officer Michael Duffy, of Cumbernauld Police Office, has some leaflets available to householders with advice on how to protect themselves from thefts.
