Church marks 40 years of community work
A CELEBRATORY mass was held in St Joseph’s at the weekend to mark the church’s 40th anniversary.
Parishioners gathered for a special service at the Broomlands Road church, led by Father Harry McKay and several other priests and previous clergy who had served at the church.
Said Father McKay: “I am supported by my parishioners and they actually provide more support for me than I do for them!”
After the mass, parishioners and invited guests gathered for tea, cakes and sandwiches made by the pastoral parish council.
