Civic Partyis unveiled

THIS year’s Kilsyth Civic Party members have been unveiled ahead of the the annual celebration in June.

Last year’s Queen, Ellyss Conroy, will pass the crown on to St Maurice’s High School pupil Laura Ann Scott, who will preside over this year’s Civic Week proceedings.

Chloe Baird and Katie McKenzie, also of St Maurice’s High, will be Laura’s Ladies in Waiting.

This year’s Page Boys will be from Balmalloch Primary with youngsters Robert Lang and Mark Donnelly filling the roles.

St Patrick’s Primary will provide the Ushers, Matthew Carberry and Ged Clinton have been chosen.

Rachel Davies and Jasmine Weir, of Kilsyth Primary, are to be Flowergirls while the important role of Chamberlain will be filled by Jemma Morrison of Kilsyth Academy.

This year’s celebrations will take place between the dates of June 11 to 19. ‘‘Festivals’’ will be the theme.
