Cleaning up back courts
A back court strategy is being rolled out in Govanhill in response to the results of the Southside Central Neighbourhood survey.
With cleanliness topping the list of concerns, councillor Soryia Siddique took the results to Glasgow City Council’s cleansing department.
An additional reporting method will now be introduced, with a dedicated officer patrolling to identify hotspots.
Councillor Siddique said: “Residents have raised ongoing cleansing challenges, and I’m delighted the initiative is progressing — I look forward to seeing positive results.”
