Cleanliness is key at King’s Park Primary

KING’S Park Primary pupils are clued up on the importance of hygiene after taking part in a bid to break a world record.

The P4-7s were involved in an attempt at the largest simultaneous hand hygiene lesson across multiple venues, led by two student nurses from Glasgow Caledonian University.

The event followed a plea to Extra readers to knit cuddly microbes, used as part of the lesson.

Participants are awaiting verification from the Guinness Book of World Records, and depute head teacher Geraldine Smith added a “huge thank you to Extra readers and members of the community”.
