Neil Anderson (40), of Marywell Path, was handed a not proven verdict after a five-month trial at the High Court in Glasgow.

He had denied being concerned in the supply of cocaine between 2006 and 2012 along with Graham and Lindsay Clarke, of Larkhall.

The Clarkes were also accused of using drugs money to set up a soft play centre in Motherwell. They, too, got not proven verdicts.

The prosecution relied on the evidence of a convicted drug dealer, David Hunter, who was caught when a cocaine factory in East Kilbride was raided in 2010. He got a reduced sentence in return for giving statements implicating the accused.

However, the defence branded Hunter a liar.
