Four women spent the day shearing in a charity marathon at Biggar Show today (Saturday).

Shear speed...Clipping Chicks at work at Biggar Show

Sheep were rushed on to their platforms, clipped and returned and, without pausing to draw breath, each shearer started work on the next.

They hoped to shear a total of 800 sheep at the agricultural show in Lanarkshire on Saturday, to raise funds for Cancer Research and Motor Neurone Disease.
