Clyde Valley Fruit Day almost upon us

The time is ripe to have a great day out in the heart of our very own Clyde Valley AND help the rebirth of the orchards that made it world famous.

The second annual Fruit Day is being held on Saturday, October 1 at Overton Farm, Crossford, timed to coincide with the bounty of the valley – those famed plums, pears, apples and damsons – all being in their annual prime.

The family event runs from 9.30am until 2pm, featuring a full Farmers Market and entry is free.

Said John Young of Overton Farm: “Last year Fruit Day was a great success and we are delighted to be able to host the event again this year. This year’s Fruit Day will again see a wide range of stalls, displays and information with something to interest all the family.”
