Clydesdale Young Farmers cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats

FOUR Young Farmers will set off this Friday, April 22, on a 1000 mile charity cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

Robert Allison (27) an engineer, and David Hamilton (25), who works with BP in London, are both from Carluke and members of Carluke Young Farmers.

Fellow cyclist Stuart Russell (29), who is a fabricator and welder, is a member of Lanark Young Farmers and Alan Jack (22), a greenkeeper from Airdrie, is a member of the Bathgate club.

Together, they hope to cycle around 100 miles each day and – weather and disasters permitting – to complete the journey over 10 consecutive days of riding unsupported.
