Coal extraction and housing planned for Hyndshaw Farm, Carluke

A DEVELOPER insists it is extracting 36,000 tonnes of coal “to stabilise ground” during a redevelopment of Carluke’s Hyndshaw Farm which would culminate in the construction of 10 new family homes.

AG Land Purchases will lodge plans to transform the farmhouse and steading near Law Hospital into five three and four bedroom properties.

It also hopes to build a further five homes from scratch.
