College merger is “business as usual”

It will be a case of “business as usual” for staff and students once Cumbernauld and Motherwell colleges have merged, according to the principal-designate of the new college.

Martin McGuire worked at Motherwell College for seven years and Cumbernauld for 17, where he was appointed principal in 2007. He believes current students will not be adversely affected by the changes in any way and in the long term the combined college will benefit from a broader curriculum.
