LAST Week, on Wednesday, March 13, Westfield Community Council held their monthly meeting, with the new build housing on the former St Francis of Assisi Primary School site just one of the topics on the agenda.

Westfield Community Council meets on the second Wednesday of each month and all are welcome to attend.

Last Saturday, March 16, Condorrat Church ran a Coffee Morning with lots of home baking on offer and a Craft Fair, with all profits going to support the refurbishment of the church.

Tonight, Wednesday, March 20, Kilsyth Community Council will hold their monthly meeting in Burngreen Hall, Kilsyth, from 7pm, and all local residents are welcome to attend.

This Friday, March 22, Kilsyth Town Twinning Association will be hosting an Easter Bunny Drive, a seasonal take on the traditional beetle drive, at Kilsyth Bowling Club in Stirling Road from 7.30pm, with fun in store for adults and children alike.

Also on Friday, March 22, Cumbernauld Rotary Club will be holding a fund raiser at Burroughs Social Club, Glencryan Road, from 7.30pm.

The charity event will include live music and a disco with tickets costing £7 available from Alistair Neilson by calling 07718 572047.

On Saturday, March 23, the Abronhill High School Spring Fayre will take place from 10am until 2pm in the school building, Larch Road, Abronhill.

There will be tea, coffee, and home baking available, with bargains on sale from the stalls, beauty treatments, arts and crafts, a tombola and raffle, and with fun and games for children of all ages.
