Concern over crooks sellotape trick

The resident says that she went to her parents house yesterday evening, put her key in the door and the keyholes had been sellotaped over.

She claims that sellotape had also been put on the side gates.

She added: “Police said that the burglar was trying to see if people were in house and they would return to check if the sellotape had been disturbed.

“My parents live in a street in Milngavie that has been targeted over the past few months with several burglaries taking place. The police have put out an extra patrol in the area.

“I’m just letting people know of this tactic and to be vigilant.”
